Burano-Italy

  • Burano is an island in the Northern Venetian Lagoon, 11 Km northeastern far from Murano and Venice, to which it is connected by the Canale Bisatto - Canale Carbonera - Scomenzera San Giacomo's trail: this route from Venice to Burano takes 45 minutes by boat. This island is easily reachable also from Treporti (10 minutes) and Punta Sabbioni (30 minutes), two Cavallino-Treporti's resorts which overlook on the lagoon. Today in Burano there are around 3000 inhabitants.

  • Among Burano’s tiny streets there are a lot of "capitelli" (capitals) placed in the calli entrances and, searching for them, surely you will bump into the most famous and coloured house in the island: "la Casa di Bepi Suà" (the house of Joseph Sweaty).

  • Since the time of Venetian RepublicBurano had only 8000 poor inhabitants (now 3000) predominantly fishermans and farmers. Thanks to the craft of lace workers, the island grew economically, exporting its fantastic laces all over the world.

I post a video so you can watch and ejoy.

London-England

City of sighs

Dublin-Ireland

You've probably heard that Guinness tastes better in Dublin (fresh from the factory), but what you may not know is that Dublin is a perfect destination for the whole family.

St. Petersburg-Russia

St. Petersburg is a magically beautiful city dotted with stunning palaces and bisected by romantic canals. The best time to go is during the "white nights" of summer when the whole city revels in the near-constant light.

  • Contrasting architectures and wide open spaces are the hallmarks of this extraordinary plaza, which has witnessed historic events like Bloody Sunday and the storming of the Winter Palace and is now the rallying place for every imaginable political demonstration.

  • This famous Russian street that cuts through the center of St. Petersburg is a hub for shopping, nightlife and entertainment, and is lined with historic and picturesque buildings and churches.

  • One of the most famous art museums in the world, this museum is housed in the Winter Palace, and contains over 2.7 million exhibits including some of the world's greatest works of art.

  • The Church of Our Savior on Spilled Blood (known locally as Spas na Kravi) is a beautiful gold-draped onion-domed church on Griboedova Canal, one of the many waterways in the old Russian capital.

Devil's Pool

Devil's Pool-Victoria Falls(Zambia)

  • Devil's Pool or Babinda Boulders is a natural pool at the confluence of three streams among a group of boulders near Babinda, Queensland, Australia. The feature is regarded in local folklore due to the substantial number of deaths that have occurred there a popular story involves a curse placed by an Aboriginal woman.

  • In 2005, the Australia TV program Message Stick gave an account of the Pool through interviews and testimonies of witnesses to investigate the prevalence of deaths to young male travellers over the years. The pools have taken 17 lives since 1959.The local council urges visitors to stay within a designated swimming area to be safe.

  • The legend arises from the story of a woman who married a respected tribal elder but ran away with a beautiful young man visiting for the event. When they were captured she threw herself into the waters to escape, calling for her lover to follow her. The legend goes that her spirit guards the boulders and that her calls for her lover can still be heard.

  • A sign warns of the dangers of swimming there because the water is deep and fast flowing through channels and over underwater rocks but deaths still occur – some by swimming, others by falling in unexpectedly, many being wedged in a rock "chute".
